Containment Boom 45 cm x 40 cm – 850 g/m PVC

Lightweight and easy to handle, Eco Response containment booms come with a manufacturing warranty and certified raw materials, providing greater durability and excellent cost-effectiveness.

Manufactured from resistant PVC with anti-UVA/UVB properties and nitrile rubber in its composition, providing greater resistance to tearing and rupture and making spill containment operations safer and more efficient.

Each boom is developed according to the customer's requirements, allowing for a customized solution for each type of operation. The production process features strict quality control to ensure optimal performance and maximum use of the materials.

In Brazil, the quantity of absorbent and containment/protection booms required is regulated by CONAMA Resolution No. 398, considering the anticipated accident scenarios and established response strategies:

  1. Complete containment of the vessel or spill source: minimum quantity of 3 times the length of the source, in meters.
  2. Oil slick containment: according to the calculation of the Effective Daily Oil Recovery Capacity – CEDRO.
  3. Protection of rivers, canals, and water bodies: the greater value between 3.5 times the width of the water body, in meters; or 1.5 + (maximum current speed in knots × width of the water body, in meters), up to a limit of 350 meters.

Technical specification: 45 cm x 40 cm containment boom, manufactured from certified 850 g/m² PVC, with marine-grade aluminum connectors according to ASTM standards, hot-dip galvanized 8" link chains, stainless steel pins and screws, and expanded polyethylene floats. Includes secure transport packaging and a manufacturing warranty certificate.

Available lengths: 20, 25, 30, and 50 meters.

For proper maintenance of the containment boom:

  1. Avoid dragging the boom on the ground during transportation.
  2. Take care when extending or pulling it quickly to prevent tears.
  3. Whenever possible, keep the boom clean before storage.
  4. Avoid allowing the locking pins to rub against other objects.
  5. When purchasing a boom, verify that it includes PVC with specific additives, hot-dip galvanized chains, stainless steel pins and screws, and an aluminum profile.
  6. Request a warranty certificate for the raw materials used to ensure greater safety and durability.
